Postmortem

This game took a lot longer than expected to release...thank you to everyone who waited and look forward to the game! I hope the next episode won't take as long of a break. I had a busy year last year so I didn't actually do much gamedev at all...now that I have more time I hope to make more big progress this year! 

I do also want to try tackling smaller projects in-between as I learned a lot as I made the game...once all episodes are out, I'll probably go back and revamp Silver Thread to make it all more consistent. 

The game itself 

Because of the episodic formula, this episode's purpose focus more on developing the current characters + introducing new ones so I'm sorry if the mystery isn't as big of a focus. I guess I'm inspired by ace attorney...oops. It is my intention to build up the intensity of the cases slowly, cases 3 and 4 would be connected so there would be more things to uncover there! 

A lot of the characters introduced in this case will return in the future episodes so I hope you'll look forward to them! Some trivia...when I first developed an idea of a detective game, Astrea was supposed to be the main character but that idea got scrapped. The theater setting was originally part of that game, however. 

Itou was also originally a part of a trio with Beaford and Alicia but he has a different role in this game...so he end up becoming a comic relief character?! He has his good points, promise. I do like the idea of having someone who doesn't get along with Alicia as opposed to how harmonious she gets along with Beaford.... 

I stayed up a lot of nights this week to make it for Alicia's birthday so I apologize for any bugs and such! I'll probably update and upload more things to the page in the coming days. 

Extra Trivia 
If you played Symbiosis, there's actually a small hint that the two games are connected...I wonder if anyone will find it.
