loved this dearly. i had a good bit of fun for all endings. i like the lighthearted dynamic between cain and rafael. these were my live thoughts mid playing ?:
really love the typically friendly neighborhood music theme and colors. dice rolls are one of my favorite aspects of rpg games .. ive never played a ttrpg despite wanting to so this is the closest thing. i like the more open-world experience akin to pokemon esque games (guy whos only ever played gameboy pokemon). i expected the tonal shift but the immediate grayscale gun in contrast to everything else was funny. majorly like the gifting feature and i almost checked back to see if there was something like an sdv wiki to know what to gift them ... finding a character almost fully accurately having my rare legal name is crazy but i wont say who. i lost myself in the story and exploring a bit so i didnt get to write much of my thoughts. i believe the music to signify tension or climax in the rifle scene was also used in some of the other games so it really hits home to hear all of a sudden. i have to say the name choices always feel fitting. eurydice shortened to eury feels cute and casual even if she doesnt parallel the namesake. or does she ? the religious names like cain and monday being the day after sunday feel relevant. michel and rafael are also incredibly fitting for the setting as well. i keep mentioning pokemon because im not well versed in games but the idea of a similar world and mechanics but the monsters being humanoid unfamiliar threats is intriguing. scary things surrounding an otherwise cozy town but with equally strange residents is a fun trope(?) to play with. the silent protag classic feels fitting here. i found the hair and cloth in the flowers which makes sense with michel's overall mystery in character comparable to monday's even if shes a resident. im immediately missing eury's extremely loud presence as i know shes in the flowers, or i think so. i already thought the one medicinal facility being vacant was weird as i think out of every profession amongst the residents (that are mostly service workers or similar), a doctor would rival a priest's intentions the most. eury's little flower makes me sad. a hidden presence of care outside of the town's strangeness is sad. i like that they have their own surprising hobbies in their rooms. the law books make sense for eurydice somehow, or i just associate lawyers with her personality. or it may be for research. her being taken out next tracks with the amount of power she has with the shop materials even outside of her seeking personality. the sight of the night scared me for a moment as i keep sleeping in the day. i still wonder who's locking themselves out. i had eury at 4 hearts prior to this so its too tragic i couldnt even interact with her much. the amount of paranoia itd give you to know for a fact that youre a project is crazy. love harvesting the ferns. why does cain's room look so much better than everyone else's lol. i got game over LOL maybe its the maxed out hearts from eury over anyone else. flowers are interesting considering the florist is the only other mysterious resident. the music is so cute .. i never discovered who the three other people were in the post office papers for the hearts. i do wonder if the monsters(?) on fours were past residents after the flower ordeals. still eludes me. nonaginta (latin cardinal # for 90) is curious but i still do not know the relevance of why that name specifically. maybe the other towns are named similarly and its concerningly limitless lol just throwing whatever out there. the dialogue box for interacting with the telephone is the most melancholic to me. since the game appears unfinished in the routes as yet ill just focus on cain now instead of pushing it to save him for last LOL. the ex-girlfriend from the city ordeal also seems relevant in relation to all the flowers. i dont quite know what gift actually appeals to monday since it seems like his heart never changes no matter gift (to me, so far). gifting michel is a little easier with whatever ferns and quills and berries i have. energy drinks on cain is good, not sure what else. the immediate continuation of the upbeat music a bit after waking up post-gunshot is funny. the fact that rafael dreams of the sea after the gunshot while michel keeps painting the sea seems like something. the title already makes me think of a post/afterlife ordeal which has its connections to floating in the sea but im unsure. michel's dialogue about the flowers needing more nutrition and the flowers seeming healthier after eury's burial makes sense in retrospect lol oops. cain at lvl 15 is crazy. sorry i can only say crazy and funny as my descriptors. may be his amount of years or less in the town. its funny how lockpicking every door and coming inside even the post office one with cain following behind doesnt make him say anything lol. i almost had enough money for the necklace (70+ g) so i could see the potential dialogue from cain or something but never quite got it. nevermind i only succeeded in the no option for cain. their photograph together is cute ... rafael as the true senior postman makes sense. so cute. finally seeing rafael's fullbody sprite outside of the smile from the menu wow wow wow. the pouting ouwhhh. their doting dynamic shines so much. not the fucking comedic music. rafael does look like he doesnt smile as much as he tries to now this is killing me. THE BED SHARIFN HEEEELP. his obvious tsundere-esque personality is so good. the way theyre both frowners is really great. the reprisal theme music wow....... i was right about the town naming system and afterlife ordeal. very very fun. them being prioritized more as the couriers from loved ones. the traitor and exgirlfriend letters make more sense at this point. what really hinted the afterlife thing to me was actually michel's letter as i know how it feels to send letters of admiration and respect to deceased beloved artists myself. the idea of rafael and cain having no one :( i suppose you could partially attribute it to them being notoriously perpetually frowning ? they might not have family and/or people see them as harder to get along with. ahhhhhh i was right on for eurydice being a lawyer wow. shes so much like one even with just the penchant for plaid clothing and hunting. rafael nio having the backstory literally rooted in nosiness is so funny. ohhhhh i love them all. cain does seem like a standoffish black sheep in a cruel situation. ill be forever curious of monday and especially michel's background as michel was my very first initial favorite. the effect of '+5 he likes you' ohhhhh my god. i couldve gotten moreeee. CRITICAL FAILURE HEEEEEELP . the cutscene is cute at the very least. the first early game over getting cain to move out early might mean he had just enough to check it out for himself or he moved on ? both are saddening. i got a success this time :) his little Good Job is insane. really does seem like the system is extremely malfunctional with the double dead people and disfigured ones. the music for them is cute. oh theyre such a darling dynamic. i still have so many questions left unanswered but this was a sweet one ...... i dont think i could try for the other ending now but i loved the good ending for cain. i do still wonder about the shut-in and if the grey letter was for them. charming game as always
This is the second game of yours I'm playing and I'm still loving it so much. The storytelling in particular was great. The art is as wonderful as ever, it's so clean! I loved Eury so much (and loved learning about her) so I was thoroughly disgusted when I saw Michel looking at uh, the flowers. I don't think I ended up getting the "true ending" because I got a game over, but honestly? It was perfect! It's the one where they both live happily ever after. Thank you for your game!
(Also I always have a soft spot for sweet tsunderes like Cain, he got my heart so bad)
Really interested in the story of post memory and loved the storytelling as always <3
spoilers!
really interested to see what background michel had before death considering only her and monday had their data censored. also very interested in how monday got into the role hes in now, considering its assumed hes also dead and his ex is sending him letters. also dont know if it was intentional but some of the name choices like eurydice and cain considering their settings made me giggle.i wonder if michel and raphael were also named in the same vein. also very curious abt the very scared shut in in the house next to the doctors. perhaps the hidden letter was addressed to them? and thats why they were so scared
I just tried to interact with the book next to the bed after waking up being shot delivering the first letter. Got the following error: (Edit, it appears every time I try to save.)
happens when you play this after playing homekeeping because they seem to be in the same save library(? dont know the terminology). personally i just downloaded the game on windows to resolve this. using a different account or device also helps. private browsing works too
This was a pretty fun chill game to play. The story was pretty simple, and the game leaves me with questions about the town and what happens to the townsfolk if they break the rules. Thank you for creating this game!
So far, I love this game but when I tried to interact with a book (after I resurrected for the 1st time), I had this error: Failed to load img/characters/rutilesmall.png
1. Keep trying to leave town at the very bottom of the map near the post office. The guards will warn you but just keep trying.
2. There's multiple ways to get this ending but the way I did it was we agreed to help Eury and delivered mail like normal. The day she leaves, just go to bed.
3. The day Eury leaves, check her computer and then go to the dorms. Go to the second floor and knock on Cain's door. Talk to him and you'll end up telling him what you saw. DONT AGREE TO BE OBEDIENT, say no to Cain! (If you say yes, it goes to the second ending).
Once you're in the church and you've finished looking at all the files, MAKE SURE TO SAVE. You'll have a dice roll when you go back up that branches the ending. To get this ending, you fail the roll.
4. To get this ending (true end?), you succeed in the church roll.
I don't know if it was meant this way, but the version you don't have to download glitches and forces you to reload the website and restart the game if you try to save and because of that I had to re-do the roll for the last ending around five or more times. is it possible to fix that so if you mess something up you don't have to restart the entire game? overall everything else was very fun and I loved the plot and game play. the endings are all very interesting as well.
I really love Eurydice and Cain! I only managed to get one ending this time :3 I’m super curious about who the doctor is and what their story in the town might be
I only got one ending, but omg I loved it, and I loved Cain!! The design and the mystery vibes were sooo good, it really pulled me in.
I would’ve totally loved the option to give the ring to someone (Cain), but oh well lol. The plot was AMAZING, and honestly, I just wish it was a bit longer... but even so, it was super fun to play!^^
woaaah this was so freakin peak... the cliffhanger on the ending where Cain and Rafael leave was crazy, only got 2 of the endings but it was still really enjoyable!!!!!
edit: I got all four endings, I think that cain and Rafael leaving together was the best. I wonder what would happen if Rafael had enough money to purchase the ring and give it to Cain???
You can probably tell from my recent comments, I've been binging your games and enjoying them, even if I tend to complain about some of the gameplay. But why the heck do I have to bug my co-worker to find the grocer and florist for me in this small village? There must be a more natural way to force me to try to roll a dice again. Alright, got two endings, a bad short one and one with Cain after being nosy. Judging by the comments there was some sort of dating sim element to this? But everything happened so fast for me, I didn't have the time (plus my source for gifts, uh, left).
DAMN OK I LOVED THIS. CAIN YOU ARE MY ANGEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! actually i love all the character designs and art. i might've come away with a ship. and also the worldbuilding?!?!? the lore?!?!? this had the potential to be super fucked up or needlessly scary but it was just enough. the entire concept was v cool, presented neatly in such a short game. beautiful! bravo!
spoilers below
it warms my heart that even an unmourned postman can have a boyfriend friendship in the afterlife... babygirl i'll wait outside your door every night till you let me be your roommate again please please please plea also i hope the upcoming ending is escaping with eury cuz i tried super hard to befriend her thinking it would work LOL
A fun play but it feel... unfinished, for lack of a better word. It feels like there should be more. Like there's no conclusion. We find out it's a cult of some sort keeping us trapped here but why? Eury gets killed and fed to the flowers but what happens next? I have so many questions...
This game was pretty fun! The story of it is pretty interestin and I loved all the characters! Though I do wish there were more endings or maybe more to it, like who even was that one guy in the house? Why's Monday there? And how'd Michel die? I was really hoping to figure out one of those in an ending :[
you amaze me in that you always manage to pack so much information into a gameplay that can require less than an hour. personally i'm someone who triple checks every nook and cranny and this game did not disappoint with that :D beautiful art and amazing character designs
SPOILERS
absolutely LOVED Rafael's change in attitude after the realization hit!!! he's such a loveable protagonist :D Eury you beautiful beautiful woman, same for Michel my heart lowkey (highkey.) fluttered hearing "red suits you" and then i immediately got whiplash when i rolled successfully for the flowers. it was bone chilling. the juxtaposition of her crouching down in front of her roses to assess their well-being, to tend to such a beautiful but fragile life while someone, if not multiple, lay dead in that very same soil??? beautiful. she and Monday are soooo interesting
AND OFC CAIN MY BELOVED :sob: immediately got his hearts all the way up because i have such a soft spot for characters like him. his ending with Rafael is my favorite. stepping into the uncertain is infinitely scary but them being ready to face whatever's coming because they have each other??? quite literally the most beautiful thing ever they have my heart <333
does any1 know how 2 get the ring or is that not possible yet??? ^_^;
me n friend tried playing around w the code 2 make the ring (almost) free 2 kiss men (cain..), but we miserably failed. heard smth abt the money glitch in the comments so i got curious,, or is it not worth it at all n the characters don't have special dialogue when gifted the ring?? :<<
I've only gotten two of the endings, but I really liked what I've seen and played. The art is beautiful and the story was engaging with how vague and mysterious things were. Wished there was more content though since I feel there should be more to the story and characters.
Maybe that's what I'm missing from the other two endings, but I'm stuck on what else I can do to get to them. Hopefully you're still planning to release that guide. I only got one of the endings with Cain from finding a comment that told how to get to it. Not sure what else I could do for the other endings since I thought the three options in the beginning would lead to some other ending or info, but nope.
Way too much having to restart. After passing the check with Cain, when you investigate under the angel statue you have to investigate everything again. And after that, if you fail, you have to redo from the dice roll with Cain AT BEST. That's a major issue
BEST ABSOLUTE BEST. GENUINELY I COULD PLAY THIS GAME FOREVER!!!! I LOVED IT SO VERY MUCH! My only complaint, genuinely, is that I wish there was more. I love Cain to bits and he gave me so much cuteness aggression. The twist at the end to tie the plot of the story together was amazing, and getting to see Rafael's true self eventually was super fun! If it wouldn't immediately expose me I'd so make ao3 fic of him and Cain, their banter was sooo cute, super big fan! I plan to play more of your games in the future!
I did post a vod of my streaming it here as well! Wishing you absolute success in your next venture!
Fun!! Really enjoyed this, the characters are all delightful in their own way (YEAH THAT EURY ART, and Cain is very efficientaly adooorable) and the atmosphere is great, especially its sudden tonal shift near the end (Rafael, babe???). Very impressed with how much you packed in so little playtime, and the level of effort and all the little details everywhere. Will absolutely be back for the additional route when it happens <3

for some reason i cannot save, it's only show error or something like that

Did you download the game or something cause I feel like this is very different from what I experienced lol.
This was a really fun and interesting story! I loved the mystery, it went places I never would have expected.

Hi. I'm interested in translating this game to Brazilian Portuguese. Hit me up please
is it complated? I only play games that are complated haha
yes it is
does this contain any bl or gl? I wanna know before I play :3
dude what
im curious man
Way too much having to restart. After passing the check with Cain, when you investigate under the angel statue you have to investigate everything again. And after that, if you fail, you have to redo from the dice roll with Cain AT BEST. That's a major issue
BEST ABSOLUTE BEST. I love how the story pacing progresses and how they tell the story, every characters have their appealing styles and personality wise too (i hope we can get the complete ver sooner for more characters to be seenable).
also the heart mechanism really reminds me of Harvest Moon games for some reason which brings so many nostalgia especially since the their heart increases after you talk to them bunch of times. (except for monday, though michel is also very hard to full hearts)
i also don't know why i thought this was a dating game at the start BUT i can qualify it (for cain), maybe potentially in the future too. But i'm also really interested in what the story is gonna progress at this point.
hell yeah
That was amazing i was not expecting that plot twist but it worked so well i hope it turns out well for them
GENUINELY I COULD PLAY THIS GAME FOREVER!!!!
